Corrupt rulers enough to destroy Pakistan but not nuke attack: Siraj

KOHAT: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq on Sunday said future of nationals pushed into dark due to current rulers as corruption of elites enough to destroy Pakistan but not a nuke attack by India. He announced to intensify anti-corruption campaign by starting Peshawar-Karachi Train March after conclusion of public meetings held in different parts of Pakistan. He also signalled to call nation to march towards federal capital Islamabad if needed.

Sirajul Haq expressed the views while addressing a crowded public meeting at Laachi tehsil of Kohat district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Sunday. JI provincial chief Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, former MPA Dr. Muhammad Iqbal and President Jamiat Ittehadul Ulema Tank chapter Mufti Imtiaz Khan also addressed the participants.

The JI Ameer said ruling personalities seized the key positions since last 68 years who were actually unaware regarding issues of common man. The rulers were imported from United States and Europe whom were provided full media coverage and support of Western powers, he said.

Sirajul Haq said he will be first person to support anyone showed seriousness to implement Shariah laws in Pakistan. He said Bangladeshi Prime Minister Hasina Wajid had sent two ministers to martyred JI Bangladesh Ameer Motiur Rehman Nizami for forcing him to express apologise over supporting Pakistan in 1971 which would be resulted into removal of death penalty but Nizami rejected to accept the proposal. Nizami asked Bangladeshi government that Pakistan was an ideology which cannot be rejected.

Sirajul Haq urged unity of religious parties and nation to resolve national issues.

While commenting over China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, he said rulers were inaugurating route for the mega project from Dera Ismail Khan while Peshawar, Kohat, Lachi, Bannu and southern districts were completely neglected. He clarified JI opposed such bids to neglect major cities for the mega project.

Siraj said rulers settled their businesses in foreign country by looted money of national treasury. The plunderers include ruling and opposition parties while the nationals wanted a ruthless accountability of all corrupt elements. He demanded accountability of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family in first three months and later it should be expanded to others. He said the Supreme Court rejected to accept Term of References (ToRs) recommended by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for formation of a judicial commission to probe Panama leaks.

He said Jamaat-e-Islami is the only political party whose leadership is selected through true democratic system. Sirajul Haq vowed that a JI-led government will facilitate each individual of the nation with most essential facilities of life. He said free medical facilities will be given for five major diseases including Hepatitis, Cancer, Cardiac diseases and Thalassemia while special allowances will be established for youths and senior citizens, whereas, shelters will be provided homeless persons.
