Terror bid foiled in Quetta

QUETTA: A law enforcement agency foiled a terror bid by recovering and defusing a bomb placed at the gate of Passport Office in the provincial capital, here on Friday morning.

The police sources said that unknown men had placed an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) outside the gate of Passport Office in the metropolis. “Soon after receiving information about presence of a suspected item at the gate of the Passport Office, a law enforcement agency rushed to the site and defused the bomb,” they said.

A case has been registered against unidentified accused.

The law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the entire area to trace out the suspects. Further probe was underway.
