Half the world to use internet by the end of 2015: Study

WASHINGTON: Half of the world’s population will be using the internet by the end of 2015.

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has predicted that 3.2 billion people will be online by end of current year. The population currently stands at 7.2 billion. The report said that two billion people of developing countries will be online at the end of this year. 8.9 million people from Somalia and Nepal will also be using the internet at the end of 2015.
