Govt providing requisite funds for Balochistan’s development: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said the government is providing requisite funds for development of Balochistan.

Presiding over a meeting to discuss matters relating to Balochistan in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said concrete steps are being taken to ensure peace, security and stability in the province.

Nawaz Sharif said Balochistan would greatly benefit from China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
Overall political and law and order situation in the province also came under discussion.
Besides others, the meeting was attended by Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique and Chief Minister Balochistan Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Abdul Majeed met Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad and apprised him of matters relating to the area, especially developmental and public welfare projects.

The Prime Minister said government would continue to provide funds for the development of the area, especially for the provision of basic necessities of life.
