ISLAMABAD: As many as eight condemned prisoners have been hanged till death in jails in different cities across Pakistan early Wednesday morning.
In Lahore, two death row prisoners were executed in Kot Lakhpat Jail in today’s small hours. Convict Abdul Khaliq killed a woman; while, the other convict Shehzad killed a man.
In Quetta, a convicted assassin, Muhammed Khan was hanged till death at Central Jail Machh this morning. Muhammed Khan killed his brother and nephew in 2004.
In Vehari also, two death house inmates breathed their last at gallows in District Jail at dawn today. Convicted killer Sanaullah killed a child after abducting him. Meantime, the other killer took life of a girl after sexual assault on her 18 years ago.
In Multan, hanging of two brothers was stopped in Central Jail today after a deal was reached with the aggrieved party, according to jail officials.
In Gujrat, two convicted prisoners hanged at the gallows at today’s daybreak. Convict Naseer killed a man in 2002 and Faisal murdered another man in 1999. In Sargodha, a criminal, Ansar, was executed at the gallows in District jail early this morning
