DG Rangers calls on Governor Sindh

KARACHI: Director General of Pakistan Rangers Sindh, Maj. Gen. Bilal Akbar called on Governor Sindh, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan, at the Governor House here on Saturday.

The overall law and order situation in the province and the on-going Karachi Operation discussed in detail on the occasion.

The Governor said that the Rangers and the other law enforcement agencies (LEAs) rendered a lot of sacrifices for the betterment of the law and order situation in the province.

He stated that it is an undeniable fact that owing to the on-going operation, the law and order situation is improving.

At the meeting it was resolved that the operation would continue till the elimination of the menace of terrorism and all the legal requirements as well as those of justice would be fulfilled.

Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan said that a peaceful Karachi is in the interest of the country as well as that of the region.

He stated that in an improved law and order, a fast foreign investment is certain in the city as well as the country. This will help bring prosperity and create employment opportunities.

The Governor appreciated the performance of the Rangers, the Police and other LEAs and said that we would have to move forward in the same spirit.

He was also appreciative of the people’s full support and cooperation for the operation.
