ISLAMABAD: A two-member team of Scotland Yard police has arrived in Pakistan for assisting the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing Dr. Imran Farooq murder case. The SY team handed over important evidences of the murder case to JIT.
Reports said the SY team held meeting with JIT members headed by Director Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Mazhar Kakakhel where they exchanged important details regarding the case.
Sources revealed the British team handed over documents consisting key evidences including Dr. Imran’s death certificate, post-mortem report and evidences of crime scene.
Sources added the Pakistani JIT is now preparing to visit Britain next week post approval of Ministry of Interior.
Whereas, trial of arrested suspects will begin on May 12 in Dr. Imran Farooq murder case during while hearing of the case will be held in an anti-terrorism court of Islamabad.
