Mian Maqsood expresses concerns over write-off loans

LAHORE:  Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore Ameer  Mian Maqsood Ahmed on Monday expressed concerns over the write-off loans worth Rs280 billions.

He said the commission on Panama Leaks should probe the loans write-off since 1971. While talking to public delegations at Mansoora, he said the plundering market in full swing due to the policies of incompetent rulers. He said masses were living hand to mouth and the economy was on the downfall.

Mian Maqsood said indiscriminate accountability is essential to curb the corrupt elements in the country. He said politicians among 912,000 people write-off loans worth Rs280.903 billions since 1971.

He said owners of offshore companies must be taken to task. The JI leader said the time has come to hold accountability of corrupts’. He said JI wanted to eliminate corruption across the country, adding that ” Corruption Free Pakistan” campaign will continue in full swing. He urged the rulers to expose real assets before the masses.
