RAWALPINDI: Police under its ongoing drive against anti-social elements have arrested 14 lawbreakers including five renting rules violators besides recovering 2,565 grams charras, 10 bottles of liquor, two pistols 30 bore with 10 rounds, one pistol 9mm with two rounds and one repeater 12 bore with seven rounds from the possession of the arrested accused, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
Pirwadhai police held Hafeez for having 1215 grams charras. Civil Line police recovered 300 grams charras from the possession of Tanveer. Saddar Baroni police arrested Nadeem Abbas for carrying 1050 grams charras.
Civil Line police seized 10 bottles of liquor and arrested Amir. Hussain Raza, Muhammad Asif, Dilshad and Iftikhar were sent behind the bars for having illegal weapons.
Meanwhile, Gunjmandi police registered cases against five renting rules violators namely Shakeel Ahmed, Sajid, Saghir Bashir, Abdul Jalil and Saeed Kareem.
