LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq strongly criticised ruling class of Pakistan, saying that an elite family possessed around 18 sugar mills in the country.

Sirajul Haq said the rulers looted common man through quotas and licences while the tradition was now turned to contracts of development projects. He added current rulers adopted tactics to purchase lands near industrial states and roads in lesser prices to transform it into gold.

Sirajul Haq was addressing newly-elected Shura of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) here on Wednesday (today). It should be mentioned here that the new JI shura that has taken oath also includes 10 women members.

He said inadequate interrogation system barricaded courts and judges to provide justice to the nationals. He said how could authorities took action over Panama documents if they failed to take action over “moral leaks” by Jamshed Dasti who made revelations about parliament lodges.

While commenting over deteriorated situation of Muslim Ummah, the JI Ameer said whole Pakistani nation and Islamic countries were facing worst situation. He said self-determination rights were seized in Iraq, Syria, Libya and Yemen. He termed the situation consequences of weakness of Islamic world, thirst of United States to seize international resources and business of weaponry.

Criticising the ruling political party, Sirajul Haq said the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) is stepping forward to liberalism and monarchy. He clarified that rulership of single soul endangered democracy by blocking all paths of accountability of corruption.

He said Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) is the only representative of powerless and needy nation. He added JI’s Corruption Free Pakistan is quite different in genre as compare to other political parties including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). JI wanted to bring all corrupt elements and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s family to the justice whose names were exposed through Panama leaks.

Senator Sirajul Haq said Islamic identity of Pakistan will be secured at any cost. He vowed to make united efforts with all religious parties to get rid of interest, liberalism, moves that hit family system and blasphemy law.
