Justice Saqib Nisar took oath as acting chief Justice of Pakistan at a special ceremony in Islamabad Saturday.
Justice Asif Saeed Khosa administered the oath.
The acting CJP said he has no authority to form a commission over Panama Leaks as his powers are limited as acting Chief Justice.
It is pertinent to mention here that, Chief Justice of Pakistan Anwar Zaheer Jamali has gone to Turkey for a seven-day visit and during his stay abroad Justice Saqib Nisar will serve as the acting Chief Justice.
