RAJANPUR: Chotoo gang on Wednesday surrendered to the army and released the hostage police personnel.
Police sources said that twenty four policemen taken hostage by the gang at the start of the Rajanpur operation, Zarb-e-Ahan, were released. Earlier the gang was using the hostages as a human shield.
Sources said Ghulam Rasool alias chotoo also surrendered to army. A search operation at the Kacha Jamal Area is underway. The members of the gang were taken into custody.
Women and children among 200 people surrendered before the army after the last warning issued by the forces.
