BANNU: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq on Monday said his party will not leave tribal people alone until last tribesman returns to his home.

JI Ameer, while addressing Grand Tribal Jirga at Bannu, said restoration of the displaced persons should be completed before summer by taking further steps on emergency basis as the innocent citizens were forced to leave the tribal agency for military operation.

He said if government wants to eliminate terrorism from the tribal areas than the ruling political party Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) should generate 10,000 jobs especially for tribal youths in the forthcoming budget.

The occasion was attended by thousands of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) belonging to different parts of the tribal agencies. JI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Ameer Mustaq Ahmed Khan, JI FATA Ameer Sahibzada Haroonur Raheed and JI North Waziristan Agency (NWA) Ameer Malik Akbar Ali Khan also delivered their speeches in the Grand Jirga.

JI Chief said Waziristan people witnessed destruction of their homes, business and markets during ongoing military operation while the government must announce relief package of Rs5 billion for their immediate financial recovery in the tough time.

Their demands to return home is legal, he said. Siraj criticised the authorities, saying that if dead bodies of Pakistanis die in Gulf countries could reach home on time than why people living in the refugee camps are not allowed to see their homes?

He said the tribesmen are patriotic people and love to live in Pakistan and they always protected the country from the enemies’ bid.

Sirajul Haq demanded to end Frontier Crimes Regulations (FCR) law, terming it as “Black Law” of past British Government. He added authorities should envisage new laws with consultation of tribes living in terror-hit areas.

During the conclusion moments of the occasion, Senator Sirajul Haq once again demanded the federal government to fulfill their promises for IDPs restoration and provision of respectable status to each tribesman across the country.
