TEL AVIV: A district court in Israel has sentenced former Israeli premier Ehud Olmert eight years in prison.
According to the Israeli media the former premier has been punished for taking money illegally from US citizen.
The court hearing arguments from both the sides found former prime minister guilty of corruption and punished eight month in prison.
It is also pertinent to mention here that in March this year Ehud Olmert was also sentenced to six years prison in charges of taking bribes.
Responding on the sentence Olmert’s counsel said that they will file appeal in Supreme Court.
