ISLAMABAD : Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday restored Chaudhry Rashid Ahmad as Chairman Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA).
The suspended PEMRA chief , Ch Rashid Ahmad had challenged his suspension orders in IHC seeking to mull the decision on which the court has reinstated his post as chairman PEMRA.
The IHC Judge Justice Noor-ul Haq Qureshi has restored him on his previous post.
Earlier, government had suspended the chairman one year ago in an accusation of indulging in corrupt practices and violation of rules and regularities .
The PEMRA chairman was appointed back in January 2013.
