KARACHI: Governor Sindh, Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan, here on Wednesday launched SAP software application course at the Lyari University here.
Sindh Education Minister, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, and senior officials were also present on the occasion. In his address Governor said that in addition to impartation of quality education, provision of training was also essential for the students so that they could play an effective role in the society.
He was of the view that the SAP training would help improve the future prospects for the students. As many as 256 students have been registered for the course spanning over three and a half months.
Ebad said that any wrong impression regarding Lyari area is being removed due to better performance of the students of the Lyari University. He stated that the students of this institution are performing well in academic as well as extra-curricular activities. The Governor announced a gift of two `Point’ buses for the students of the institution.
Education Minister Nisar Khuhro said that Lyari University has been established in accordance with the vision of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. He said that the institution has made headway under the patronage of Governor Sindh. Vice-Chancellor of Lyari University, Akhtar Baloch, also spoke on the occasion. Governor pressed a button to inaugurate the SAP course. He also distributed certificate among the students.
