KALLAR SYEDAN (RAWALPINDI): Minister for Interior and Narcotic Control Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday said that the Interior Ministry was ready to probe Panama Leaks through Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
Talking to media here, Nisar Ali Khan asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to point out any FIA officer of his choice, for conducting inquiry if he wanted Panama leaks to be probed by FIA.
He said, “No one will be allowed to hold public rally in the Federal Capital.”
Nisar said that he will consult with political parties after the approval of Federal Cabinet regarding public rallies in Islamabad.
Interior Minister urged the opposition parties to cooperate with the government if they are sincere to unveil the truth from the whole matter.
The Minister clarified that the leaks do not only contain the names of the family members of the prime minister but also that of the opposition leaders including that of his predecessor.
Chaudhry Nisar said the government wants to constitute a fully empowered commission and for this purpose, also contacted two former Chief Justices of Pakistan.
Nisar pointed out that most of the countries including Russia totally overlooked the leaks but the Prime Minister personally took notice of it and announced the formation of a commission.
