ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday changed its foundation-day rally venue from Islamabad’s D-Chowk to F-9 Park after it was denied permission by the district administration.

Last week, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan announced that there will be no public gathering of any sort in the Red Zone in the future and directed CDA to start dismantling the stadium at Parade Lane, popularly referred to as D-Chowk.

The decision was taken few days after thousands of Mumtaz Qadri’s supporters staged sit-in outside the Parliament House and held the capital under siege for four days.

According to PTI spokesperson, the foundation-day rally will now be held at F-9 Park on April 24.

PTI chairman Imran Khan will address the gathering on the occasion.
