QUETTA: One passenger was killed and two others were injured when unidentified miscreants attacked Quetta-bound train, Jaffar Express with a rocket in Mithri area, some 30 km off, Sibi town Tuesday.
According to Police sources, Jaffar Express train coming from Rawalpindi was on its way to Quetta when it was attacked with a rocket, which hit bogie No. 3 of the train, leaving one dead and injuring two others. “One commuter has been killed and two others have been injured in a rocket attack on Jaffar Express,” the police said.
The train was brought to Sibi Railway Station where it was stopped. The dead and injured were taken to hospital.
The law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the entire area to trace out the assailants. Further probe was underway.
