KARACHI: The Sindh government has registered cases against 14 leaders of religious parties who had staged four-day sit-in at Karachi’s Numaish Chowrangi.
The cases were registered on the basis of staging a sit-in and the violations of Loud Speaker Act. Two cases were registered by the police of Soldier Bazaar.
Those who were booked include Raza Mehmood, Maulana Abdul Karim, Maulana Altaf Qadri, Hafiz Tahir, Saleem Attari, Suleman Qadri and Rashid Qadri along with others. The sit-in at Numaish Chowrangi was linked to protests and sit-in earlier in Islamabad’s D -Chowk by religious groups.
