BAJAUR, April 1 (APP): Provincial Chief Jamaat-i-Islami Mushtaq Ahmad Khan has urged the government to make efforts for bringing changes in the lives of tribal people.
He was addressing a public gathering arranged by JI local chapter here on Friday.
He said Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) is a part of Pakistan and its people were the equal citizen who have always rendered valuable sacrifices in the larger interest of the country.
He added that unfortunately, every government kept the tribal people deprived of basic facilities.
The JI provincial chief demanded of the government to realize the problems and difficulties being faced by the people of tribal areas and must take steps for development of the areas to reduce the sense of deprivation among the people of the region.
The JI leader urged the government to provide at least Rs 5 billion amount for the reconstruction of infrastructure in the entire tribal areas which damaged during war on terrorism.
He also urged the government to include FATA in Pak-China Economic Corridor so the tribal areas could also benefit from the mega project.
The gathering was also addressed by a number of JI leaders including Fata Amir Sahib Zada Haroon Rasheed, Naib Amir Fata Haji Sardar Khan and JI local chapter chief Qari Abdul Majeed.
The speakers claimed that JI was the only party that had been striving for bringing Islamic law in the country, adding that implementation of Sharia was the best way to resolve the problems and issues faced the nation.
The speakers urged the government to establish medical college and Women University in Fata so the students of the tribal areas could be facilitated with higher education in their areas.
