State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has reduced interest rate up to one per cent during formal announcement of monetary policy on Saturday (today).
Governor SBP Ashraf Wathra while addressing press conference in Islamabad said that the central bank of Pakistan reduced interest rate up to one per cent leading it to the lowest ever interest level in the history.
The new policy would be effective from May 25 while the reduction would result enhancement of trade activities and investments across the country, Wathra said.
He said that nationals would definitely get loan eases to get homes and vehicles following the decision. He added that business community has highly welcomed the decision by the central bank.
