ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed and Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Asim Bajwa will hold a joint press conference at 5:00 p.m today.
The joint conference is being held two days after deadly blasts in Lahore, in which over 72 people including women and children were martyred and more than 300 injured.
On the other hand, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday, acting proactively, launched a crackdown on terrorists, banned outfits and their facilitators in the Punjab and arrested a number of suspected terrorists and their facilitators in various parts of the province.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has also directed the police and other law enforcement agencies to launch an operation against the terrorists and their abettors in the border areas of the Punjab.
