KARACHI: At least three criminals of Lyari’s gang were killed during an overnight encounter with police in Lyari area of Karachi. Another man lost his life in a firing incident in Malir area of Model Colony.
According to police, the encounter took place after midnight raid in Lyari.
The dead were identified as Sikandar alias Siku, Jahangir and Sameer, belonged to Uzair Baloch group.
They were wanted to police in n several cases including murder, attempted murder and extortion.
Separately, a man was shot to death in Malir area of Model Colony, according to Rescue sources. And, a man was injured in yet another firing incident near Sakhi Hassan area.
Meanwhile, police arrested a TTP militant from Paposh Nagar area of Karachi during a raid.
According to police, the arrested criminal, Rashid, was providing financial assistance to the banned terrorist outfit.
Police said a hand grenade and a TT pistol were recovered from the terrorist. Further interrogations with the criminal are in progress.
