PCB chairman expresses disappointment over defeat in World T20

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Shahryar Khan expressed his disappointment over defeat by India in the World T20.

He hopped to reach in the semifinal by better performance. Shahryar said that captain Shahid Afridi will get retirement after the World Cup and the coach’s agreement would expire in June.

  While addressing the press conference, he said that upcoming matches were very crucial for the team. The chairman said that the team moral was very high despite the defeat.

He said that they did not pressurize Afridi to resign and added that masses criticize Afridi when he failed but kept silence when he performed.

Shahryar said that we should not forgot that Afridi made Pakistan won many matches. He stressed upon restoration of cricket between Pakistan and India.
