World Cup: Pakistan set 119-run target against India

KOLKATA: Green Shirts have set reasonable target of 119 runs against arch rival India on very uneven pitch besides wet weather conditions during the most crucial fight of the T20 World Cup 2016 at Kolkata’s stadium.

Shoaib Malik, Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal became top scorers by adding 26, 25 and 22 runs to the scorecard respectively.

Skipper Shahid Afridi failed to exhibit well performance despite coming to the crease after fall of first wicket of opener Sharjeel Khan. Afridi scored only 8 off 14 balls despite replacing Mohammad Hafeez from his position on the batting order.

Ashish Nehra, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, Suresh Raina and Hardik Pandya have collectively got five wickets by sharing one each in the match.

Earlier, India had won the toss and opted to field first against Pakistan in the most crucial fight between the arch rival being played at Eden Garden, Kolkata.

The most crucial fight of the arch rival once threatened by the heavy rainfall which delayed it for hours; that led the game limited to 18 overs for both team.
