Peshawar bus blast leaves 15 dead

At least 15 people were killed while over 50 people sustain injuries in a blast near civil secretariat employees bus in Peshawar on Wednesday.

As per details, over 60 government employees were in the bus at the time of blast near Gharbi Police station at Sunehri Masjid Road, Peshawar.

Rescue teams rushed to the site and started transporting the injured and the bodies to the hospitals.

The condition of majority injured stated to be critical. The bus arrived Peshawar from Mardan packed with government employees when the bomb exploded. Eight of the injured admitted in ICU of LRH

Over 40 passenger including two women were shifted to Cantonment Hospital.

“The top part of the bus has blown off and is being cut to pull out the injured,” an eye witness told

Heavy contingents of forces arrived at the site and cordoned of the area.

The area has been closed to traffic. Nature of the blast is not yet known.

This is the third time government employees bus was targeted in Peshawar. Twice the employees’ bus was targeted at Charsadda road.
