ISLAMABAD: The polling process on in PS-59 Badin’s 37 polling stations began on Tuesday.
The Election Commission of Pakistan has established a control room in its headquarters to monitor the election activity.
An election tribunal last year had ordered re-election on all 37 polling stations of PS-59 (Badin-V) which was won by Pakistan People’s Party candidate Mohammad Nawaz Chandio in the May 2013 general election. The tribunal headed by Ashfaq Baloch directed the Election Commission of Pakistan to de-notify the respondent, Chandio, and hold re-election in the constituency.
