Waseem Aftab, Iftikhar Alam part ways with MQM, join Kamal

KARACHI: Former mayor of Karachi, Mustafa Kamal, held a third press conference on Thursday afternoon announcing the arrival of Waseem Aftab and Iftikhar Alam into his new party.

“Today, I welcome two friends, Waseem Aftab former Rabita Committee member and former head of KTC and Iftikhar Alam, who is member of the Sindh Assembly from Azizabad,” said Kamal at the start of the press conference.

Iftikhar Alam said, “Hundreds have sacrificed their lives, hundreds yet live in exile.”

Iftikhar Alam was fielded by the MQM for PS-106 constituency of Karachi’s Azizbabad area where the party headqauerters Nine Zero is located.

While addressing the press conference, Waseem Aftab said that they joined the Kamal’s party against cruelty and announced to resign the MPA seat. He said that they have been cheated by the MQM chief and added that Altaf needed dead bodies not workers.

He said that Mohajir Nation is not the agent of RAW and added that the state should realize that they were deceived on the name of their rights.

Iftikhar Alam said that MQM Chief used to make decisions only for his personnel satisfaction. He asked that how long we have been proving our loyalty with the leadership and added that Altaf’s fear enfolded the party workers. Iftikhar Alam said that MQM hold point scoring and photo session over dead bodies of the workers. He urged the MQM workers to take stand for the peace and stability of the country.
