Shahbaz Taseer reunites with family after years in captivity

ISLAMABAD: Shahbaz Taseer, who was released from the captivity of kidnappers on Tuesday and has reached his home town Lahore in a special flight.

“Shahbaz Taseer being flown home (Lahore) from Quetta in a special aircraft by Intelligence officials,” Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt. General Asim Saleem Bajwa stated in a Tweet on Wednesday.

Shahbaz, the son of slain Governor Salman Taseer was kidnapped from Lahore around half a decade ago and was recovered by the security agencies of the country from the outskirts of Balochistan capital.

He was kidnapped after seven months of assassination of his father in Islamabad.
