LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that government is taking all possible measures for protection of women rights.
He was addressing a ceremony in Lahore on Tuesday afternoon, held in connection with the international women’s day.
He said that women have played very important role in every segment of life in the country, including the independence movement for creation of Pakistan.
He said that country is currently facing grave challenges like intolerance and extremism. He said that Islam gives guidance through its teachings to tackle such challenges.
