MQM’s Hammad Siddiqui arrested in Abu Dhabi: report

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) senior leader Hammad Siddiqui has reportedly arrested during a raid conducted by security officials in Abu Dhabi, the capital of United Arab Emirates.

Rumours are circulating via local media reports that Siddiq, apparently MQM’s Hammad Siddiqui, has been arrested by UAE security officials responding assistance called up by Pakistani government to arrest wanted criminals.

According to report, he was arrested over accused involvement in money laundering and Imran Farooq murder cases jointly being investigated in United Kingdom (UK) and Pakistan.

Reports said that federal government sources have also confirmed the arrest made in UAE. Few reports claimed that Hammad Siddiqui and a businessman belongs to a political party were arrested during security raids on different spots including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Second person arrested by the security officials named him as Omar, report said.
