Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that his political party will support anyone go to court against “Protection of Women Against Violence Bill 2015” passed by the Punjab Assembly four days ago.

While addressing newly-elected workers of JUI-F Sindh in a ceremony organised in Karachi, Fazlur Rehman said that laws were always designed in accordance with social norms but now priorities were changed under flag of capitalism. He questioned whether the new law will remove festers of a family? He termed the new law against local family system by copying Britain.

He said that the Holy Quran provided respect to each human but now a day humans are being humiliated. Islam always spread respect and love but now judicial recording will be held for domestic fight of couples under new law despite case filed under 302 disallowed to record video.

He questioned again for envisaging such controversial laws came under violation of Shariah and the Constitution of the country.
