RAWALPINDI: The Police here on Saturday carried out operation and arrested 15 kite sellers besides confiscating 1431 kites, 119 strings rolls from their possession.
According to police spokesman, Ganjmandi police arrested four kite sellers and recovered 8 kites from their possession.
Pirwadhi police arrested three kite seller and recovered 571 kites from their custody. Banni police held two kite sellers and recovered 185 kites from their possession. Sadiqabad police nabbed two kite seller and confiscated 70 kites from their possession. Race Course police held a kite seller and recovered 520 kites from his possession. Civil Line police held five and recovered 77 kites from their possession.
CPO Israr Ahmed Khan said strict action would be taken against kite-flying and selling kites adding no one would be allowed to violate rule of law. He said the ban on kite flying would be strictly implemented.
