Minister Nawaz Sharif has reaffirmed the government’s resolve to ensure a merit-based business friendly environment in the country.
He was talking to Global Managing Director, McKinsey, Dominic Barton, in Islamabad on Tuesday.
Nawaz Sharif said the government is following liberal approach towards economy and is making earnest efforts to ensure transparency, competitiveness and giving an enhanced role to private sector in the national economy.
The Prime Minister said the government’s economic reforms agenda focuses on achieving self-sufficiency in energy and infrastructure development.
Appreciating the economic growth achieved by the present government, Dominic Barton said his country is ready to extend assistance to Pakistan government in reducing line losses in the transmission lines.
Dominic Barton noted that China Pakistan Economic Corridor is a vital project, which is destined to unlock the economic growth in Pakistan, as well as the entire region.
