QUETTA: At least 12 suspected militants were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces during a search operation in Sangaan area of Sibi district.
Official sources said that the law enforcement agencies launched the search operation in Sangaan area of Sibi district which led to exchange of fire with the alleged militants.
“The gun battle remained for several hours in which 10 militants were killed while 12 others were arrested. The security forces also destroyed the hideouts of the militants.
“At least 10 suspected militants have been killed in the security operation while 12 others were arrested,” souces said, adding that three camps of the militants were also destroyed.
The security forces also recovered weapons from the camps. Further probe was underway.
