Young doctors call off strike after talks with KP CM

PESHAWAR: Young doctors on Thursday called off strike after successful talks with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa  Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak.

Representatives of  Young doctors and Teaching Staff Association hold successful dialogues with the provincial government and decided to call off the strike. The doctors representatives conveyed their cancers about Essential Service Act and other demands to the CM.

The representatives of the health workers said that the provincial government has accepted their demands including health allowance and duty hours. Therefore, they have called off their strike.

Member of the council Dr Alamgir said that the provincial government has verbally accepted their demands. However, he warned, if the government backtracked on the promise, they would go for strike once again.
