PIA to operate 117 flights today

ISLAMABAD: General Manager Public Affairs/Official Spokesperson, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Danyal Gilani said on Wednesday that as many as 117 flights would resume their flight operations from Wednesday.

According to a private news channel, Spokesperson told that 73 domestic and 45 international flights would operate flights operations of the national flag carrier from Wednesday in the country.

The announcement from the official spokesperson comes after a day earlier, chairman of PIA Joint Action Committee Sohail Baloch announced the end of the strike, which had kicked off from February 2.

Sohail Baloch had also urged employees to resume their duties and said hoped condition of the airline would improve in the next six months with the help of the workers.

The government had invoked the Essential Services Act in response to protest strikes by the national flag carrier’s employees.
