ADEN: At least six people have been killed and six others injured in a car bomb explosion outside the Yemeni presidential palace in Aden on Thursday.
An explosion has rocked the external entrance of Al-Ma’asheeq residence where the internationally recognized Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Hadi is living in the seaside port city of Aden.
The blast took place 1,500 meters from Hadi’s presidential wing.
An official said, “An explosion targeted a security checkpoint that leads to the entrance of the presidential palace.”
Local media reported that the car bombing was targeting Aden’s mayor after he entered the president’s residence.
