KARCHI: United Nations Organization has released economic and social report for Asia and the Pacific for 2015. The report said that Pakistan’s economic growth was expected to rise by 5.1 percent in 2015. Inflation had reduced in Pakistan and the government was trying to overcome the budget deficit. Foreign exchange reserves had increased while improvement seemed in stock market of the state.
Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) Macro and Economic Policy and Analyses Section former head Doctor Muhammad Hussain along with Professor Ashfaq Hasan Khan and SDPI Executive Director Abid Qayom Salhri presented the economic survey report for Asia and the Pacific 2015.
He said that Pakistan’s economic growth was expected to increase in connection with the government’s efforts to overcome energy crises and infrastructure.
