At least 200 suspects arrested from Karachi in forces grand action after Safora carnage

KARACHI: As many as 200 suspected persons were arrested by Rangers and police in last 24 hours throughout from Karachi as making ongoing operation in mega city speedy after barbaric attack on the bus that killed 46 people.

The operation has taken speed as per decision of the apex committee meeting held on Thursday (yesterday) in chair of Army Chief Raheel Sharif.

According to Rangers spokesman around 145 people have been nabbed in different raids carried out in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Shah Faisal Colony, New Karachi, North Nazimabad, Sohrab Goth, Korangi, and Liaquat abad.

On the other hand police have also rounded up at least 45 suspected persons in from different areas of Gulshan-e-Iqbal. Arrested include gang war criminals, target killers and terrorists.

While police also have taken four accused into its custody with recovered ammunition in Peerabad area of metropolis which were involved in many criminal activates.

Scores of suspected were also arrested from Eisa Nagri, Purani Sabzi Mandi, PIB Colony, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Patel Para and Jehangir Road.

Arrested suspects from Liaquatabad included Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) unit in-charge and joint unit in-charge , the rangers have detained 22 people  from Sindhi Hotel, Liaquatabad area of the metropolis.
