Magnitude 5.9 quake jolts several cites of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: A strong earthquake of magnitude 5.9 have jolted upper Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after Friday prayers.

As per details, the tremors were felt in Federal capital Islamabad, Lahore, Abbottabad and other areas of KPK.

No loss of life of property reported yet. People came out of their houses in panic and fear. They started reciting “kalma-e-tayyaba.”

Mixed reports emerged regarding intensity of tremors but meteorological department suggest the quake was 230 Kilometer deep and its center was in Hindu Kush Mountain range near Pakistan and Afghanistan border.
