CS Sindh directs timely completion of development projects

KARACHI; Chief Secretary Sindh, Mohammad Siddique Memon has asked the secretaries of different provincial departments to ensure timely completion of the ongoing development projects.

The CS Sindh Siddique Memon directed that secretaries of agriculture, education, irrigation, health, local government and works & services departments for sparing no efforts for in time completion of the development projects, including the foreign funded / credited development schemes supported by United States Agency for International Development (USAID), World Bank, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Korean and Chinese Loans.

Referring to his meeting with the federal secretary Economic Affairs Division, Ministry of Finance Mr.Tariq Bajwa, the Chief Secretary noted that bottleneck of all development projects must be removed in consultation with the federal government, line departments and donor agencies.

He sought reports about the (PMUs) Project Monitoring Units of all projects, within a week and emphasized upon setting up preferences linked to the strategies implementation of the projects.

Siddique Memon advised all departments for coordinated efforts in close consultation with Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Aijaz Ali Khan.
