JI Chief Siraj-ul-Haq condemns Safoora massacre

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Chief Senator Siraj-ul-Haq on Wednesday visited the injured and condemned the Safoora massacre.

Talking to media, Senator Siraj-ul-Haq termed the incident “a blackest day” in the history of the country and said that the entire nation is stand with the Ismaili community in this moment of grief.

On the occasion, JI Pakistan Chief Siraj-ul-Haq said that such type of incident in the prevailing situation where the law enforcing agencies (LEAs) are conducting targeted operation against the criminal elements was certainly a matter of concern.

Haq further said that the anti-state elements are existed in country who wants to destabilize Pakistan by conducting such type of criminal activities; adding that the agents of foreign intelligence agencies are also active in the country.

“The government and law enforcing agencies (LEAs) should investigate and review all aspects of the said terrorist incident and trace out those elements who involved in this heinous act”, Siraj- ul-Haq urged.

He further demanded to the government and other authorities concerned to bring the responsible of the incident into the court of law and award exemplary punishment to those inhuman criminals.

He further regretted that the federal and provincial governments have completely failed to ensure safety of the life and property of the masses.

Meanwhile, JI Pakistan Naib Ameer Asadullah Bhutto and other party leadership reached at the Memon Hospital soon after the incident and inquire about the health of injured and expressed sympathy to the bereaved families.

JI Pakistan Naib Ameer Rashid Naseem, Sindh Ameer Dr Mairaj-ul-Huda Siddiqui, JI Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, Secretary Karachi Abdul Wahab, Secretary Information Zahid Askari and others were also accompanied the JI Pakistan Chief.
