LAHORE: Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that national interests should be given priority over personnel interest.
He was addressing the ceremony held in Lahore on Monday in connection with the 43rd martyrdom day of Khawaja Muhammad Rafique.
He said the government attaches priority to the national interest instead of politics. The Minister said democracy has been strengthened during the past two and a half years of the present government.
He lauded army, rangers and police for rendering valuable sacrifices for peace in Karachi. He said peace in Balochistan is the achievement of the Baloch leaders.
Khawaja Asif said Pakistan Muslim League (N) has confidence of the people and the journey of national development will continue.
