LODHRAN: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday announced that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government will impose a ban on stopping traffic for VIP protocol besides condemning death of 10-month-old Bisma in Karachi due to protocol measures made over arrival of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Imran Khan said that the death of toddler has united entire nation to fight against VIP protocol just like the nationals stood under one flag to fight against terrorism after terror incident of Army Public School in Peshawar.
He made the announcement while addressing a celebratory public gathering held in Lodhran post victory of Jahangir Tareen in by-election for NA-154.
Imran Khan said that he would soon meet KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak to stop VIP protocol ‘even if it is the prime minister’ as PTI will start change from KP. He said that if rulers are afraid of deaths then it is better to stay home.
Moreover, he thanked Lodhran citizens for ‘supporting the cause of justice’ which led outstanding victory of Jahangir Tareen. He said that Lodhran citizens rejected to accept Rs2 billion bribe by the federal government. He alleged that ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) lost by a wide margin of 40,000 votes in Lodhran by-election due to army supervision.
