QUETTA: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawab Sanaullah Zehri has been elected Balochistan chief minister unopposed today succeeding Dr Abdul Malik Baloch who resigned from the post yesterday.
The development was made under the Murree Accord signed between ruling PML-N and Baloch parties including Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) and the National Party (NP), also performing role as major coalition partners in the provincial government.
Zehri said that he will try to take all political forces into confidence regarding major issues. He congratulated the newly-elected woman speaker of Balochistan Assembly, Rahila Durrani, and vowed to empower women in the province.
