KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain and other senior leaders of the party including nominated Karachi mayor Waseem Akhtar over allegations of delivering anti-state and provocative speeches.
The other party leader included in the warrant are Farooq Sattar, Khushbakht Shujaat, Rasheed Godil, Qamar Mansoor and others. The warrants were issued for January 2.
The court also accepted a challan in nine cases against the party’s senior leader Rauf Siddiqi.
The political leaders are accused of delivering or facilitating provocative speeches against the state.
