KARACHI: At least six shops were completely burned while 20 others partly damaged after and intense fire broke out at Super Market, Liaquatabad in Friday’s wee hours.
A Fire Brigade official said ten firefighting vehicles and a water bowser took part in the operation to put out the fire.
Firefighters faced problems to control the blaze owing to narrow streets; however, the Rescue crew accomplished the operation by breaking locks of the shops, he said.
According to reports, the fire erupted overnight at a cloth storehouse and spread to other shops in the market.
