ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Golra police has recovered a house maid and her husband from the basement of a house in sector E-11 who were shackled by their owners for demanding the salary.
According to details, Golra police was informed by someone that two shackled persons are kept in a house following which police raided at house no. 8, street no.32 in sector E-11/3.
The police team recovered Shazia Bibi and her husband Tariq Ali, resident of Chinniot from basement of the house who were shackled there. Police nabbed the house owner Shagufta Shahid and her son Jabran and it was revealed that they shackled them, confined in basement of house over demanding salary from them. They were earlier residing in the servant quarter and husband of Shazia Bibi was laborer and used to stay there with his wife.
SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated this performance of Golra police and directed to ensure immediate actions in case of any public complaints.
